The people of Insurance Network of Texas have made the company what it is today. Their hard work and determination has directed the growth and success of the company. And their sincere interest in clients has created an atmosphere of trust, respect and dedication that Insurance Network of Texas has become known for.
Trust, support and loyalty are the values that drive our company and our employees. Staying true to our independent spirit and small-town values, our employees strive to know clients by their name and their need, not just their policy number.
This dedication and personal interest has created an “extended-family” environment. And as family, we are there for our clients no matter what. Our IT manager has even been known to drive through a hailstorm to ensure systems are up and running.
Any company can sell insurance, but not every company takes the time to know their clients.

Insurance Network of Texas was created with the independent spirit of a small-town businessman in 1949. Then, known as the Hannes Insurance Agency, the company had only two employees at one location in Giddings, Texas.
In 1971, RJ Nitsche joined the company, which was renamed Hannes & Nitsche Insurance Agency to better showcase its growth. From there, the company continued to grow. After two decades of development and success, the company changed its name to better suit its state-wide scope of business; in 1994, the company became Insurance Network of Texas.
Today, we have more than 150 employees at nine locations across Texas to service our ever growing client base. As Insurance Network of Texas looks toward the future, we will never forget where we came from. We'll keep growing, guided by the independent spirit we were founded on, and without compromising the small-town values that make our company unique in the insurance industry.
The Jamin Barrett Nitsche Scholarship is designed to educate our youth by providing them the opportunity to empower their higher learning experience. The scholarship is a memorial dedicated to Jamin Barrett Nitsche, who tragically lost his life in 1989 to an alcohol-related auto accident. The scholarship works to encourage students to abstain from alcohol and illegal drugs.
Since its inception, the memorial scholarship has raised $635,750, which has helped fund the educations of 242 recipients and allowed them to pursue their dreams. We are proud of what the scholarship has accomplished and are dedicated to seeing it continue.
